Abstract/Summary:
The relationship between urban and region has always been a important part in thefield of geography. With the acceleration of worldwide industrialization and urbanization,regional farm-out arises at the historic moment. Urban economic zone receives much concernas it serves as the spatial carrier of economic activities as well as the main power of regiondevelopment. Northeast region plays an important role in economic development. Comparingwith other regions in China, it is weaken in city development and effect on other cities, aswell as in connection between cities and regions. So research on urban economic zone innortheast China is an inevitable choice with considering those restrictive factors of city-regiondevelopment.Based on the above research background and realistic demands, under the support ofrelevant theory of urban economic region, this paper is divided into five sections:Section one: Introduction. Overview of research background, research issues, researchregion, research purpose, research framework and research methods in urban economic zonedivision study.Section two: Basic Theories. To definite the concept of urban economic zone and extractits characteristics. To summarize the trend and method of theoretical research provides afoundation of research on urban economic region division.Section three: The construction of urban economic regionalization method in northeastChina. Through the relevant overview of urban flows intensity model and the isochronoustraffic circle theory, take urban flow model and strength characteristics of isochronous trafficcircle, try to build on the city’s comprehensive service capabilities and time-distance transportaccessibility functions, to better reflect under the combined action of both economic zoning.Section four: The empirical study. According to the above methods, measure urban flowsintensity of major cities in the northeast, and make structure analysis. On this basis, constructspace range of isochronous traffic circle icon based on traffic network with the use of GISnetwork analysis, finally combined with quantitative analysis and the spatial scope ofisochronous traffic circle to finalize urban economic zone in northeast China.Section five: Conclusion. Make a systematic summary and generalization of full text,and to realize the shortcomings of writing.
