Research On The Renovation Plan Of Old Port Area Of Qingdao Port

The old port area of Qingdao Port was the prosperous port area of Qingdao city.However, in recent years, with urban industrial structure adjusting and developmentstrategy shifting westwards, the demand of cargo transportation function of old portarea gradually weakens. In trend for conforming to development of internationalmodernization, Qingdao repositions the old port area and begins to renovate it underthe direction of full-seale, multifunetional, modern stratagem in order to revitalize theprecious area.To make the old port area of Qingdao port as research object in the paper, theauthor uses such research means as field research, materials collection, comparativeanalysis, data calculation, etc. This thesis studies and discusses its renovation scheme.(1) The development history of Qingdao port is reviewed. The present situationof its exploitation and utilization in four aspects of the land, shoreline, facilities, roadsand passenger transport is studied. The main problems are found. The author believesthat the better development of old port area is about changing the development modeand redeveloping it.(2) Four renovation modes of old port are made a summary and compared. Bymeans of analyzing developing direction of Old port area of Qingdao Port, the level ofeconomic development and the tourism market demand of Qingdao, and combiningRelated Planning and Division that development orientation in Qingdao and QingdaoPort, the function position of Old port area of Qingdao Port is clear. Its function canbe definited to highlight the tourism theme and be diversified development bydeveloping Cruise homeport as the core. Its renovation mode is discussed accordingly.It is the mode of urban complex development.(3) The renovation plan is proposed through three aspects such as functionallayout, roads and building. The actual location and land use areas of each functionalzone is defined. The planning of roads and buildings is initially set. (4) By means of summarizing the general tendency and developmentalcharacteristics that the cruise homeport based on the domestic is designed, two layoutplans of cruise homeport is proposed. On the base of predicting passenger potentialand ship type of the cruise that arrives to Qingdao, the water scale is calculated andanalyzed.
