| This dissertation, with acknowledge of Archaeology and architecture and so on, throughthe research on Literature and analysis of iconographic material, taking literature studies andconstructure comparation and synthetic analysis as the key, compares Prince Gong’s mansionwith other Prince mansions during the Qing dynasty on three aspects of decrees andregulations study and characters of constructions and custom expression at broad level, whichshows us an original shape of Prince Gong’s mansion, and concludes the cause to thecontructure of Prince Gong’s mansion and its historical value. On the one hand, it is acombining-study with Archaeology and architecture to enlarge the study method ofhistoriography which more studies can be made by this method; on the other hand, it alsofully observes the research value on both Prince Gong’s mansion and other Prince mansionsof Qing dynasty at academic level.This dissertation divides into five parts. Firstly, the author explains the reason whychoose this study and its meaningful to the study, and introduces nowadays achievements onrelative studies, then confirms the study method on this article. Secondly, it is a briefintroduction to Prince Gong’s mansion according to its constructure and historicaldevelopment and be summarized some characters of the constructions. Thirdly, through thedecrees and regulations studies, it states some common regular patterns and concludes thecharacters of other Prince mansions taking some exsiting Prince mansions of Qing dynasty asexamples. Forthly, this part as the key point of this dissertation compares both Prince Gong’smansion and Prince mansions of Qing dynasty on three aspect such as decrees and regulationsstudy and characters of constructions and custom expression, which finding out theirdistinctions. At last, it analyses why the characters of constructions of Prince Gong’s mansionlike this and indicates its values on the basis of aboved analysis. |
