The Study Of Environmental Behavior Education Of Island Tourists

With our nation’s attention and support for the development of island tourism, tourismindustry has become a new economic growth point to the island region.The rapiddevelopment of island tourism has brought huge economic returns to the island areas,however, which makes the island`s resources and environment faced increasing pressure.Thearrival of a large number of tourists has caused a great deal of burden to the fragile ecosystemisland region environment, and the uncivilized environmental behavior of tourists damage theenvironment of the island seriously. For these reasons, the researcher combines touristsbehavior with environmental behavior theory，proposes the subject of environmental behavioreducation for island tourists, and builds the island tourists’ environmental behavior educationmode, which puts the island tourism as a medium and educates the tourists’ environmentalbehavior during all aspects of tourism activities. It will play an important role to regulatingthe island tourists’ environmental behavior, improving the island environment and achievingthe harmonious development between the island environment and the tourism industry.In order to explore the main factors, which affect the environmental behavior of islandtourists, and build a scientific and rational island tourists’ environmental behavior educationmode,in this paper, the researcher study the basic theory of the environmental behavior andthe relative academic achievements at home and abroad for reference, analysis factors ofaffecting tourists’ the environmental behavior,base on the characteristics of island touristpalces, select nine study variables: environmental awareness, environmental attitudes,environmental knowledge, environmental morality, environmental education, subjectivenorms, situational factors, the intention of the environmental behavior and environmentalbehavior, and build a conceptual model of island tourists’ environmental behavior. Besides,take the Dalian famous tourist island-Guanglu island as a case to inspect the accuracy of theconceptual mode. Studies find that it is the strongest influence that environmental educationto the island tourists environment behavior intentions and environmental behavior, andenvironmental knowledge, subjective norms, environmental attitudes and environmentalmorality, situational factors directly or indirectly affect the island tourists behavior. Therefore,in this paper, choose the harmonious development of the concept as the guiding ideology,according to the influencing factors of the island tourists environmental behavior at presentand in order to achieve the target of island tourism sustainable development,make thegovernments, environmental organizations, island scenic administrator, tour guides, islandresidents and island tourists as education implementers and take different approaches to educate island tourists’ environmental behavior in period---before travel, during traveling,quasi-travel and after travel, which aims at enriching the island educational theory, protectingthe island ecological environment, providing guidance and reference to achieve thesustainable development of island tourism.
