Horizontal Drilling Technique In Zhan29Block’s Of Study And Applications

Zhan29Fault, which locates in Taiping of Shengli Oil, lies on the east slop of Yihezhuang Arch. The main production formation is discovered lying at lower Guantao Group and the reservoir formation buried under shallow is crumble. The reservoir belongs to viscous oil bottom water reservoir. The earlier production wells are puzzled with heavy water flush because of bottom water coning, so their fast production declining rate in short-term, low degree of reserve recovery, and low reserve using rate. Remaining oil mainly concentrates among wells and top of oil layer, therefore it’s appropriate to deploy horizontal wells. This paper shows horizontal drilling techniques and theories. According to the developing of horizontal drilling and technique characteristics and linking Zhan29Block’s geological structure, the paper analyses the applicability of horizontal drilling technique in this area. In accordance with the experience of real drilled horizontal wells in Zhan29, we analyzed and optimized drilling parameters. Then we summarized and set down a series of drilling techniques, including well construction, BHA, the key drilling methods etc.
