The Longhushan Nature Reserve is located in Nanning city in guangxi, extending from107°27′-107°41′,22°56′-23°00′ith an area22.56km2. The important wild plants for conversation in Longhushan Natrue Reserve of Guangxi were researched based on field investigation. The main results are as follows:1.There are1200vascular plant species, belonging to690genera in178families. Among them,103species of pteridophytes,4species of gymnosperms,1093species of angiosperms.2.The dominant families of pteridophytes are Pteridaceae, Polypodiaceae, Selaginellacea and so on. adding up to65species and covering63.11%of the total pteridophytes in Longhushan Reserve. The dominant genera of pteridophytes are Pteris, Selaginella, Adiantum and so on. adding up to48species and covering46.60%of the total pteridophytes in the reserve.3.The gymnosperms take up a very low proportion in the total flora, which contain4species belonging to3genera in3families, covering0.33%,0.43%,1.69%of vascular plants pteridophytes in Longhushan Reserve.4.1093species of angiosperm belonging to644genera in149families were recorded in the reserve. The dominant families of angiosperm are Euphorbiaceae, Asteraceae, Rubiaceae and so on, adding up to274genera and490species, covering42.35%of total angiosperm genera and44.67%of total angiospenn species in the reserve. The dominant genera of angiosperm are Ficus, Clematis, Diospyros and so on.5.The tropical and subtropical elements are the dominent components in the flora of the reserve. The pteridophyte families and genera in this area are mainly tropical or subtropical endemic elements, covering100%and67.44%of the total pteridophyte families and genera respectively. For the spermatophyte, the tropical and subtropical elements cover61.84%and77.43%of the total spermatophyte families and genera respectively, and which are also obviously higher than the temperate elements with a ratio of3.13:1and4.77:1respectively. It is therefore indicated that the temperate elements also play a role in this area.6.The number of spcies in a majority of families or genera is lack and the families and genera with one or a few species are dominant in the reserve. The pteridophyte families number of which each has less than4species is19with the proportion of73.08%. The pteridophyte genera number of which each has less than4species is39with the proportion of90.69%. The spermatophyte families number of which each has less than10species is110with the proportion of72.37%. The spermatophyte genera number of which each has less than5species is629with the proportion of97.22%.7.There are64rare and endangered species belonging to51genera in22families in Longhushan Reserve, according to the author’s field investigation and the IUCN’s Evaluation Standards of endangered species,63species are suggested to be listed in the list of wild plant protection.
