Plants asprimary producer of ecosystem are important component of ecosystem. Vegetation played animpotent role on keeping balance of ecosystem. Research on floristic characteristiccontributes to know natural and historical development of region and active jamming. Florcharacteristic and biodiversity in Louguantai region were studied by sample plot investigationand bibliographic search. The results are as followed:1. Angiosperm was main floristic components in this region. There were seed plantspecies197families,1006genus and3436species, and accounting for14%in the samespecies across the country, accounting for33.76%in all species, accounting for65.23%in allfamilies. There were gymnosperm9families,23genus,45species.2. The north temperate zone, East Asia, float tropic, old world tropic, East Asia andNorth America gap and world distribution accounted for larger proportion. Variabledistribution was main component in flor, and had560genus, accounting for55.67%in allgenus of angiosperm in Qinling Mountains. There were tropic component283genus,accounting for28.31%in all genus at this region.3. Types of vegetation were secondary shrubland, broadleaved deciduous forest,theropencedrymion, coniferous forest and subalpine thickets. Medicinal plant wasapproximately2000species. Important medicinal plants were Schisandra chinensis,Rehmannia glutinosa libosch, Rhiszoma anemones altaicae, Codonopsis pilosula, Rhizomaatractylodis macrocephalae, Astragalus membranaceus, Angelica sinensis, rheum offcinale,Radix aconiti carmichaeli, Rhizoma atractylodis, Radix bupleuri, Daphne giraldii nitsche,Cornusofficinlis, Gentiana dahurica fisch, Ziziphus jujuba, Radix angelicae. Rosaceae,Ranunculaceae, Caprifoliaceae, Leguminosae, Liliacea, Compositae, Orchidaceae, Oleaceae,Saxifragaceac, Celastraceac were main ornamental animals.4. Louguantai forest center played an important role in biodiversity conservation in ourcountry because it was rich in biodiversity.4kinds of plants falls into the first-rankingprotection category,14the second.6kinds of animals first-ranking protection category,7the second.5. The main content about biodiversity conservation are protection of diversity ofspecies and genetic and gene diversity. The protection work can be done by establishing andperfecting the laws and regulations related to the protection of bio diversity, increasing theintensity of investment in biodiversity conservation, establishing biodiversity assessment andtesting institutions and strengthening the publicity of importance about biodiversityconservation.
