Study On Economy Of Huizhou During The Anti-Japanese War

Huizhou is one of regions which are with local characteristics in China’s regional culture.It not only has a long history and profound culture,but also creats abundant material wealth.In modern times,the economy of Huizhou achieved further development.Especially during the Anti-Japanese War,the economy of Huizhou developed rapidly and appeared to be flourishing.Tunxi which was an important town in Huizhou also won the title of Little Shanghai.From this we can see the prosperity of economy in Huizhou during the Anti-Japanese War.So it is necessary to deepen the research of economy of Huizhou during the Anti-Japanese War and explore its reasons and impacts.On the basic of achievements in academic world,the paper tries to have a comprehensive research,in order to analysis condition,reasons,traits and impacts on the later generations.At last,the paper will enrich the research of modern history of Huizhou.To be specific,the paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter discusses the background of economy of Huizhou dur-ing the Anti-Japanese War.It includes the geographical environment,the natural resources,the development of economy before the Anti-Japanese War,popula-tion,institutions,factories were moving in after the Anti-Japanese War broke out.This chapter introduces the basis and conditions of economy of Huizhou during the Anti-Japanese War.The second chapter discusses the development of Huizhou’s industry.It includes policies and departments of industry.For the latter,it includes machinery and power industry,textile industry,daily chemical industry,cigarette industry,printing industry and other industries.The third chapter discusses the development of Huizhou’s agriculture. It includes policies and condition of agriculture.To be specific,the former includes improving agricultural management institutions and drawing up agricultural policies,the latter includes food crops and economical crops. The fourth chapter discusses the prosperity of Huizhou’s commerce.It first-ly discusses the development of main business towns which include Tunxi, Yuting,Linxi.It secondly discusses the development of business organizations which include chambers of commerce and boards of trade.The fifth chapter discusses the prosperity of Huizhou’s financial industry.It includes the central banks,the local banks and the commercial banks.As for each kind of bank,it includes deposit,loan,remittance and other businesses.The sixth chapter reviews the development of Huizhou’s economy.It discusses reasons,traits and impacts of the development of Huizhou’s economy.At last,the conclusion makes a summary to the whole paper.In a word,the paper tries to have a comprehensive analysis to the development of Huizhou’s economy during the Anti-Japanese War.Its aim is to deepen the understanding of Huizhou’s modern history,and provide a reference to know the history of Huangshan city.
