| Since21stcentury, the focus of enterprise management is transforming fromprocess, operation to performance. Although majority has realized the performancemanagement importance, many enterprises still have various problems in theperformance management area like SY Technology company (SYT) for which theauthor is working which is in automation industry. To improve company performancemanagement, SY Technology considers to use some efficient performance managementtool. Among the performance management tools, Balanced Score Card created byKaplan R S and Norton D P．is an advanced performance management tool to realizecompany strategy and which has drawn attentions of numbers of Chinese enterprises.After careful study, SY Technology decided to implement Balances Score Card(BSC) to improve company’s performance management. The author organizedperformance management team in SY Technology, based on SYT’s performancemanagement situation, analyze the necessity and feasibility of BSC implementation,draw company strategic map, divide company’s strategic goal to departments and stafflevel detail targets, design and implement the BSC performance management system.This is a research putting management theory into company practice which hope canresolve SYT performance management problems efficiently to improve organizationperformance. The author hopes to offer some advice to automation industry or otherindustry enterprises via SYT case using BSC.The article is composed of six parts as below:I Introduction. Mainly introduced subject background, research meaning, researchideas and methods, research situation at home and abroad.II Theory base including performance theory and BSC theory.III Detailed study of SYT performance management situation, point out performance management problems and explore BSC’s implementation feasibility.IV Design SYT performance management system, including index, steps andweights.V Describe in detail the BSC implementation, including: principle, process andeffects.VI Conclusion and expectation.
