In the era of knowledge economy, knowledge is the most important factors among all kinds of production factors. Knowledge workers therefore become the core of the competitiveness of an enterprise as the carriers of knowledge. It’s a critical issue to be tackled in HR management in the era of knowledge economy which is to have knowledge workers fully contribute to the company with creativity and enthusiasm. Many scholars conducted research on the incentive policies for knowledge workers in the21st century. Meanwhile, companies are endeavoring to improve their incentive practices. So it’s quite meaningful and practical research to fully dig in this area.GT company is a private financial high-tech company, first of its kind in overseas financial outsource business, founded in2005. As facing more fierce market competition, many problems emerged such as talents turnover, low employment satisfaction, laziness and etc., all of which leads to poor performance of the company.This article bases on the theories of HR management, employees general theories and research results home and abroad in terms of worker incentive, sets out a definition of knowledge worker, and concludes the underlying features and demands of knowledge workers. This is followed by an empirical study of the knowledge workers of Company GT by methods of in-depth interviews and questionnaire. Based on the factors affecting knowledge workers in Company GT, this essay makes thorough research in the current trends of the incentive policies of this company and its problems. With understanding of the real demands of the knowledge workers of this company and the level of their satisfaction the incentive policy realize, this essay finally bring up solutions on improving the incentive policy for GT company, so as to enhance the HR resources for this company. It’s sincerely hoped that this essay could be helpful to those private companies facing similar problems.
