Urban Logistics Efficiency Evaluation Under Low Carbon Economy Research

With the advance of low-carbon concept, energy conservation and sustainable development has become the focus of world attention; the model of economic development with low-carbon purpose will profoundly change human being’s production and life styles. City logistics is an important part of city’s economic construction and development of low-carbon economy, to vigorously develop urban logistics and optimize urban logistics system has great significance to the guarantee of urban economy sustainable, stable and coordinated development. Not only conducive to transforming economic growing way, reducing the running costs of the economy, and can optimize the allocation of urban resources, regulating market supply and demand balance, improving the quality of urban economic operation, strengthening the city’s comprehensive competitiveness. At the same time, the logistics of the city as an important economic activity also plays an important role in the process of developing low-carbon. On one hand, the urban logistics consumes lots of energy and produce large amounts of carbon emissions, thus, to reduce the energy consumption of urban logistics can effectively promote the development of low-carbon economy; on the other hand, efficient logistics can support the production and life style under low-carbon economy and the achievement of low-carbon economy requires support from a highly efficient logistics. They’re complementary. This article take Guangdong Province as an example of urban logistics efficiency research, aiming at provide a reference recommendations for urban logistics healthy development.This thesis firstly states the background and significance of the study, and on the basis of the status of domestic and international research, theoretically articulates the meaning of low-carbon and urban logistics and their relationships, then show some methods on the efficiency evaluation and compare these methods, points out the feasibility by using DEA model analysis the efficiency of urban logistics, then, carries on a systemic study to the theory and application of DEA model, as well as the modeling process, and according to its input-output principle, build the input-output indicators for the evaluation of urban logistics efficiency. Meanwhile.on the basis of historical data.uses DEA model to completely analyze the logistics efficiency of21cities in Guangdong Province, calculates the total technical efficiency comparatively, pure technical efficiency.scale efficiency and input redundancy status, The analysis show that the efficiency of urban logistics has a profound impact in the development of low-carbon economy.but also reveals the main problems in the process of development of urban logistics in Guangdong Province.Finally, this thesis combines the results of the analysis and the current situation of the urban logistics development, Propose ways and strategies to improve the efficiency of urban logistics under the conditions of low-carbon economy. In the end, then points out some inadequacies and the aspect needed further research in this study.
