An Analysis Of The Impact Factors On Regional Logistics Efficiency Under Low Carbon Economy

Steady and rapid development of national economy makes that the logistics industry hasentered a high speed developing date, and the status of logistics industry in the nationaleconomy is becoming more and more important. In the near future, the logistics industry willbe the new economic growth point; also will become the backbone of the third industry inChina. However, with the deepening of the concept of low carbon economy, sustainabledevelopment turns into the focus of countries and enterprises. It is generally known that lowcarbon development of the logistics industry can not only improve the utilization of logisticsresources, reduce energy consumption and relieve environmental damage and pollution, butconsistent with the basic requirement of the sustainable development of the economy.Therefore, this thesis analyses logistics efficiency and influencing factors of China’s thirtyprovinces and eastern, central and western areas based on low carbon economy, and providesreference for the sustainable development of regional logistics.First of all, from a practical significance, the thesis elaborates the selected background,research significance and carries on the literature review from three aspects which about lowcarbon economy, regional logistics and logistics efficiency. Secondly, the thesis expounds therelated theory. Thirdly, on the basis of analyzing the common methods of efficiencyevaluation, the thesis selects the suitable methods and evaluation index based on the selectingprinciple. Fourthly, based on the data of China’s thirty provinces and east, central and westernareas from2004to2012, using DEA method to analyze regional logistics efficiency and drawthe corresponding comprehensive efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency.At the same time, using Tobit regression model to analyze the influencing factors of regionallogistics efficiency under low carbon economy and gain correlation coefficient. Fifthly, basedon the empirical analysis of the regional logistics efficiency and its influencing factors, andcombined with the background of low carbon economy, some countermeasures andsuggestions are put forward to promote regional logistic efficiency. Finally, summarizes theconclusions and puts forward prospect for further research.Carbon dioxide emissions will be as undesired input indicators in the thesis whenconducting the study, which is conducive to promote the sustainable development of regionallogistics. In addition, the study of the influencing factors of regional logistics which combinedwith low carbon economy can provide reference for further research to some extent.
