The Research On Shanxi Banks Financial Culture

Shanxi Banks are the milestone of the development of Chinese finance, not only have they anindelible contribution for the development of China’s financial sector, especially for cultural spiritof banks’ management, but also they have laid the important foundation for the development of thecurrent financial culture. The theme of this paper is to investigate the values and the values infinance of Shanxi Banks “honesty, faith, righteousness and benefit”, the author thinks that it ishonesty, faith, righteousness and benefit of the banks in such an underdeveloped society especiallyfor economics and finance that are accepted by the merchant at the same time, as the rules of thesociety exchange, promoting the development of the commodity and currency trading. This paperanalyzes the Banks “honesty, faith, righteousness and benefit" thoughts, and its historical origin andtheir interrelationship among them deeply. The paper reveals that honestly is the best policy, faith isproposed for use, righteousness is honesty, faith and benefit is a node and the criterion. Banks’honesty, faith, righteousness and benefit are the core culture in developing financial industry. Thehistory of financial culture can be traced back to banks period. To establish the financial culture, itis necessary and important to focus on honesty, faith, righteousness and benefit of Shanxi banksvalues.
