A Study On The Relationship Between Foreign Trade Structure Changes And Industrial Structure Changes Of Anhui Province

There are two phenomenons in the process of regional economic growth: the changeof foreign trade structure and the change of industry structure. Whether they couldcoordinate or not determines the quality of regional economic growth. Since reformingand opening, Anhui’s economic growth retains a rapid rate, and its foreign trade scopekeeps enlarging. Thus, with the complicated and sophisticated relationship betweenopening department and domestic industry department, foreign trade structure andindustry structure stays at a very fluctuated stage. On such basis, the paper stresses thesituation of the change in foreign structure and industry structure and its relationship,therefore, it provides with certain political suggestions for relative department.The paper starts with basic theory on foreign trade and industry structure, andintroduces the functional mechanism between those two parts. With the perspective offoreign trade structure change and industry structure change, the paper adopted thedescriptive statistic method and econometric model to analyze the relationship andfundamental law between foreign trade structure and industry structure.Through the analysis we conclude as follow: in long-term, there is a stableco-integration status between those two changes, and from Grange cause test we knowthat industrial structure change is the cause for foreign trade structure change; inshort-term, the change in Anhui industrial structure is mainly from itself.On the basis of summing-up, the paper put forward the relative political suggestionsas follow: in optimizing the foreign trade structure, Step up in optimizing the exportstructure and enhance the push in foreign trade; Further more with import structure, tostrengthen our foreign trade. In upgrading the industrial structure, Develop our modernagricultural industry to transit into a strong province in agriculture；Stick to newlyindustrialization path, promote our competitiveness; Develop modern service business,and raise our level in the third industry. By drawing up those relative policies, it willgenerate a co-ordinate mechanism between foreign trade and industrial structure.
