The Influence Research Of Industrial Structure Changes To Foreign Trade Scale And Structure In Zhejiang Province

Industrial structure and foreign trade has been the focus of scholars. But there are less academic studies on the impact of the change of industrial structure of foreign trade. After the reform and opening up, enormous changes occurred in Zhejiang province. Industrial structure and trade patterns have made considerable progress, but also accompanied by a structural imbalance. Only by solving internal and external imbalances, the industrial structure and foreign trade achieve positive interaction and development in Zhejiang Province. Therefore, the study of industrial structure change that influenced trade is of great practical significance.Based on the literature review, this paper summarized the classical theory on effects of the industrial structure to foreign trade.And using the classical trade theory to elaborate the mechanism and the basic way that how does industrial structure affected the foreign trade. Then, we introduced the currencies and characteristics of industry structure and release the available problems in Zhejiang province. On this basis, using panel data models and time series models to introduce the impact of industrial structure to the size and structure of foreign trade. By the empirical results we draw the following conclusions:(1)Industrial structure and the development of foreign trade is showing a trend of continuous improvement in all aspects, but exposes many troubles and both of them remains to be further enhanced.(2) From the perspective of trade scale: Changes in the industrial structure in Zhejiang Province have promoted the expansion of the scale of foreign trade as a whole.(3)To the trade structure: The industrial structure of Zhejiang province had significantly different impact on trade of primary product and manufactured goods. Among them, the first industry produced significant effects on both exports and imports of manufactured goods but inhibited the imports of primary products. The development of secondary industry promoted imports of primary products and exports of manufactured goods, while restrained exports of manufactured goods and imports of primary products. The tertiary industry is not conducive to the development of primary products exports and imports of industrial manufactured goods and is not conducive to the export of primary products and industrial manufactured imports. In General, the overall change in the trend of industrial structure in Zhejiang Province is in favor of trade scale and structure to enhance the level of trade. But there are big differences on the way and degree that industrial structure impacted the trade.Finally, combined with the process of economic transition, in order to enhance industrial and trade levels and promote the coordinated development between them, we proposed targeted policy recommendations.
