As one of the most globalized industry of the world, characterized by its long industry chain, high correlation, numerous employment opportunities, strong ability of boosting consumption, automobile industry plays a crucial role in national economical growth and social development, which is reflected in various aspects; to be more specific, automobile industry produces grand gross national product, promotes transportation, military forces and other related industries, intrigues development in new technology, increases export and foreign exchange reserve, creates more jobs, boosting fiscal revenues, etc. International status of a country’s automobile industry often embodies its international status of general manufacturing industry; to some extent, automobile industry directly reflects the comprehensive industrial level of a country. As for such economical super powers as the United States, Japan and Germany, automobile industry occupies an unshakable status both in their domestic economy and their international trading. Automobile industry of our country started its journey in1952, went through arduous pioneering and low ebbs and experienced substantial growth; nowadays, it not only deeply influences our national economy and social development, but also plays a more and more important role in the comprehensive economical development of our country in the background of globalization. In the incoming five to ten years, automobile industry of our country will participate more and more thoroughly in the international division. Only by constructing a strong system of automobile industry can our country gradually grows to be a super power.This thesis, on the basis of the former researches, has collected the related data of China’s automobile industry from2001to2010, and made a qualitative and quantitative analysis. The thesis will include three parts. Part one is the introduction, which mainly focuses on introducing the background and significance of selecting the topic, and the status quo of domestic scholars’ research on promoting the international competitive force of the automobile industrial. Part two is consisted of chapter two, three, and four, which is the main body of this thesis. Chapter two introduces relative theories of the industrial international competitive force and the former research on the factors concerning the improvement of the force, as well as puts forwards a three-level competitive force that runs through the whole thesis and explains the meaning of each level and their interactive relationships. Based on chapter two, chapter three starts from analyzing the current circumstance of the international competitive force of China’s automobile industry from the three-level force, and forms a conclusion on the strong and weak points of our national automobile industry on these three levels, and thus points out the existing problems. Chapter four expresses the author’s reflections on the international competitive force of China’s automobile industry on the basis of existing problems and promotes that we should draw from the successful experience of Japan and Germany on one hand; on the other, the means concerning improving the competitive force based on the three levels in realities are proposed. Part three is the conclusion part of the thesis, which summarizes the former analyses.This structure of analysis is divided into3parts. First, the volume of trade in Chinese automobile industry has made rapid progress. Second, Civil Auto-manufacturer had not yet master the core technology of car-making, which is a great obstacle for the Chinese automobile industry. Third, Problems in China’s basic policies and cultural are also restricted the global competitiveness of auto industry. Above all, two points were released as follow: on one hand, the government should attract importance to the market leading position and make the proper industry guidance and policies. On the other hand, enterprises with innovation in technology and culture are definitely necessary.This paper, based on the industry international competitiveness theory, has a forward-looking and realistic significance of research.
