Dynamic And Comparative Study On China's Provincial-level Regional Economic Overall Competitiveness

Competition is the nature and fundamental factor of market economy. Within the market economy, the core of regional economic development lies in the interregional competitions. A region has to hold the advantages in the economic overall competitiveness in order to survive and grow in the fierce market competition. Provincial-level regional economic overall competitiveness, namely a province's attraction to the resources in the large-scaled region and acquisition for market shares, determines the capability of reallocating the resources within and outside the province optimally.Due to the historical task to develop our socialist market economy greatly and the situation that we are in the primary stage of socialism, it is necessary to develop provincial-level regional economy and promote provincial-level regional economic overall competitiveness constantly. It is an imperative choice for China's winning in the tide of economic globalization, the urgent need to strengthen China's overall national strength and realize "China's Rise in the peace", the inherent requirement to cultivate and implement scientific outlook for development and carry out "Five overall Development Plans", the strategic initiative to build a well-off society in all-round way and accelerate the socialist modernization process, and also the effective way and key point for the Provincial Party Committee and People's Government to fulfill their duties.
