With the reform of China’s water inder and foreign captial starting enter, thecompetition in the industry is fierce increasingly,an urgent need for watercompanies in accordance with the requirements of modern enterprise management,the introduction of a suitable, scientific and efficient performance managementsystem to improve employee and corporate level of performance. BH watercompany is newly established in June2011, as the special nature of the company’sproducts, the company has a strong sense of the nature of the institutions, the lack ofeffective performance management, employee productivity is low, the activity isnot high, the management of the company eager to change this situation through theimplementation of performance management system.At first,the paper introduces the theories and methods of performance andperformance management aspects, and advantages and disadvantages of variousmethods and scope of application are discussed.Second, discuss and analysisBH water company’s current situation, organizational structure, industry charctristics,production and management features in-depth,then investigate and analysis thecompany’s human resources status and problems through questionnaires andinterviews, and clearly the focus of the company’s performance managementsystem design. On the basis of that principle,begin the relevant preparatory work,such as analysis BH’s development strategy with SWOT, re-design the company’sorganizational and management structure, job analysis and job descriptions,toimprove company’s performance management environment,do some relatedtraining,and then follow the performance plan, performance of the implementation,performance evaluation, performance feedback, performance results applying fivesteps to design the company’s performance management system. Performanceplan develop the company’s overall performance goals according to the company’sstrategic objectives,then determine the company’s performance indicators (KPI) at alllevels,design the department and employee’s performance plan; Performanceimplementation, take the main emphasis on communication counseling and feedbackinformation gathering during the implementation process ongoing,design lots ofmathold and variety of communication and information gathering; Performanceappraisal discusses the principles of performance appraisal, objects, methods ofcalculating the appraisal cycle, and detailed work plan, KPI sand360degrees contentand standards of performance appraisal; Performance feedback introduces a feedbackmethod, content and staff performance complaints; Application of the peerformanceresults talk about of the assessment results for the appraised, staff salariestraining, etc..Finally, the paper discusses the safeguards and still of concern of BHwater company’s performance management system implementtation and evaluatethe performance management system overall. With the study on BH water company performance management system, it couldprovide usefulthinking and advise for water company performance managementaccording to their own characteristics.
