At present,It is the crucial moment that a majority of thefamily—owned businesses in China face the handing over of thebusinesses between generations, however,The inheritance of enterpriseway is very difficult,a lot of experience proves that only30%of thefamily—owned business transfer to the next generation.In the process,family-owned businesses should select and train the potential successor toa competent leader.Applying competence making the selection andtraining of a successor work better operability and normative. This paperaims to set up family enterprise successors of the competency model,atmodel as the basis,choose suitable successor selection and trainingmethods.Based on the definition of the related concepts and summarizinggeneration process at home and abroad,researching the competencymodel,this paper first analyzes in the process of inheritance successorcompetency present situation, problems and causes. Then using theresearch methods of literature study, depth interview method,questionnaire,factor analysis is based the family enterprise competencymodel of successor. Family enterprise successor of competence mainlyincludes innovation, integrity fair and strategic decision, learn to communicate, relationship management, organizational commitment,and scientific management seven dimensions. This paper also to sevenfactors on regression analysis,according to the results of regressionanalysis,successor competency seven factors,organizational commitment,relationship management non-intelligence factor of family enterprisesinherited the performance more remarkably related.Second baseing oncompetency model combined with China’s family enterprise inheritancepractice, study the selection and training plan of successors and teachingmethods.Finally put forward the limitations of this study and futureprospects of research.
