China is a traditional agricultural country which as a large population and lack of arable land resources. A stable supply of food will have a direct impact on social stability and national security, so the national food security issue has been the major strategic issues of concern. In order to increase food production, increasing peasant incomes, the Ministry of Agriculture implemented the technology to carry out home works will be fine varieties and advanced technology to the villages. In order to further the implementation of technology-home projects, especially in the promotion of improved rice varieties, this paper will be from the farmers’perspective analyzing the choosing behavior of the main popularizing varieties.This study from the farmers point of view, researches the main popularizing varieties of rice form farmers choosing behavior. This article is divided into five parts. The first chapter is the introduction, introduces the background and significance of topic, research objectives, contents, data sources, technical route, the possible innovation and shortage. The second chapter is the theoretical basis and literature review, describing the theoretical foundation of the behavior of peasant chosen technology and previous research results, lay the foundation for the follow-up article. Chapter Three is the analysis of new varieties selected for the behavior of households, this chapter based on survey data obtained, making a descriptive statistical analysis on personal characteristics of farmers, family resource endowments and behavior of selecting the main popularizing varieties. Chapter Four is the empirical analysis of the choosing behavior of the main popularizing varieties, through the measurement model, making a quantitative analysis on the factors affecting the choosing of main popularizing varieties by the farmers.Chapter V is the main conclusions and policy recommendations.The empirical results of the choosing behavior of the main popularizing varieties by peasant show that:age of farmers, level of education, the main source of income of rural households, whether the main popularizing varieties increasing yield, whether bought fake seeds and participated in awareness training have a significant impact on the choosing behavior of the main popularizing varieties of peasant. The age of farmers, the level of education, the main source of income for rural households, whether the main popularizing varieties increasing yield, whether participated in awareness training have a positive effect on the choosing behavior of the main popularizing varieties; and bought fake seeds to farmers has a negative effect on main popularizing species selection. Select the main popularizing varieties has the low percentage, high yield, disease resistance and lodging resistance is the main factors to consider when farmers select the main popularizing varieties. Age and the level of education have a significant effect on the choosing behavior of the main popularizing varieties. The farmers which main income comes from farming are more likely to choose the main popularizing varieties. Seed market is not effectively monitored, the market filled with a lot of fake seeds, which will significantly reduce the enthusiasm of farmers to select the main popularizing varieties.
