The development of agricultural modernization mainly depend on the advanced technology, and what the key factor is technology converting ratio whether technology achievements in agriculture can be taken to convert into realistic productive force. Tomato industry is an important part in the agricultural Industry of Xinjiang and with the growth of planting scale, which becomes an important industry in agricultural efficiency enhancement, increasing their income and animating area economy. But have many problems as well, just as the effective demand for agricultural technology conflict with the effective supply in planting tomatoes, technology consciousness of planting farmers become indifferent, the simplification of mainly plant-varieties, the managing technology of field has drop behind, the low efficiency of picking, These are severe influence factor for enhancing output and improving quality of tomato. Therefore, it has important theoretical and practical significance for studying peasant households choosing technology behavior of planting tomato, and increasing agricultural technology converting ratio and the level of planting. This paper analyzed question about the fanner’s technology-chosen using statistical tools, under the guidance of theory about the behaviours of fanners, based on the field investigation data from226peasant households in Bazhou of Xinjiang to do research on the technology-chosen behaviours of farmers of planting-tomato combined with Hierarchical cluster, Multinomial Logit Model, Simple Logit Model and Crosstabs. When the farmers choose the breed information or fertilization, they mainly depend on shops that sell agricultural materials for production, on the contrary, the cultivation techniques mainly come from their own plant-experience. And technology demonstration is the most popular ways of agricultural technologies spreading. Farmers mainly turned to their own judge when they were faced with technical problems in production rather than actively search new agricultural technologies or agro-technicians.This research is based on the survey data about8kinds of technologies, and using Hierarchical cluster tools to analyze the preference of tomato growers’ demand for technology. The results show that: the new breed, fertilization technology, agricultural mechanical technology, information on price and market of tomato, picking, the sowing seeds, irrigation, and prevention and cure of tomato disease or the insect pest. Regression results of Multinomial logit model indicate that age of farmers, household education level, no-leader, planting acreage, manpower scale, on-training, distance from town, no-joining order factors have significant impact on farmers’choosing technology behavior of planting tomato. The data adopting correlation tools showed that farmers’ spirit to adopt new planting-tomato was positively correlation with their cultural background and labor amount and train-time. Fanners who demand for technological services of tomato-planting have168which account for74.5percent of peasant households among226farmers surveyed. Regression results of binary logit model indicate that age of farmers, household education level have significant impact on farmers’behavior towards adopting new tomato-planting technology.Based on the above-mentioned researches, this paper put forward following policy recommendation: Speeding up a new and multiple agricultural technology extension system establish, and widening the technology extension service range; Government should increase support for farmners’ behavior adopting agricultural technologies to establish the production environment; Continue to strength growers’ education agricultural technical training and cultivate scientific and technological farmers.
