Study On Main Produce Cost-effective And Farmers’ Choosing Behavior In Xinian

Agricultural products concern People’s livelihood, if the supply of agricultural products stable, thenthe Country stable. Cotton plays a very important position in the society and economy of Xinjiang,as themain cash crop,the development of its industry related to employment and livelihood of farmers,and it alsohas a great impact on Xinjiang’s foreign exchange earnings. At the same time, corn after wheat as thesecond largest food crop, it plays an important role in ensuring food security. However, agricultural priceshave skyrocketed in recent years, and the cost of planting agricultural products surges, household income isnot optimistic.The cost of agricultural products production not only directly affects the profit of agricultural productsgrowing, and then affects the income of the farmers,but also it causes a great impact on the development ofagricultural industry. At the micro level based on the household operations,it researchs the costs andbenefits of agricultural products. Understand these factors of production of seeds, pesticide,fertilizer,plastic mulching, manual work, farming machine, irrigation and so on. Understand which factors ofproduction play a decisive role in the cost of agricultural products by investigation and analysis.At the sametime, analyzing proportion of the total cost of each factor of production, understanding and being able tocorrectly calculate the agricultural cost has great practical significance for the improvement of farmers’income and the rapid development of the agricultural industry. The object of this paper selects cotton andcorn of the main agricultural products of Xinjiang,using methods of comparative analysis and econometricmodel describes the composition of the cost of agricultural products and its formation mechanism,analyzing the trend of changes of the cost of agricultural products of Xinjiang, and it also makes acomparative analysis of cost-effectiveness of Xinjiang’s two main agricultural products cotton and corn.Finally, it studies against the micro-level of farmers’ perspective and it studys what the influencing factorsin choosing behavior are at work by model.
