As the he socialist market economy continues to develop and perfect, the career field has been faced with an increasingly fierce competition. In this situation, working pressure, as a common phenomenon existing in various organizational work, has gained an unprecedented increase from all aspects. Customs officers, the implementators of China’s Customs Law, exercise the power of administrating and maintaining the state’s foreign economic exchange order. The prosperity of the state economy largely depends on the orderly, clean, and efficent operation within the Customs organization. Therefore, this article has developed a research on the relationship of work pressure and work performance of customs officials, with the help of a widely-adopted self-efficacy theory and the widely-concerned relationship between work pressure and performance. The author has introduced customs officers’ self-efficacy into the relationship between work pressure and work performance and carried out a research and analysis on the triadic relation of the factors mentioned above to further prove that self-efficacy plays an intermediary role, which has made great theoretical significance in the study of customs officers’ work pressure problem. This paper has been developed in three steps:recognizing problem, analyzing problem and solving problem, and mainly divided into five parts: self-efficacy studies have been widely used in various fields, with job stress and performance relationship under the spotlight. The introduction of self-efficacy of civil servants to work the relationship between stress and performance studies, and through research and analysis of the three relationships, customs officers to further verify the self-satisfaction, self-efficacy as an intermediary role for the Customs officers working pressure of has important theoretical significance. The research follows the discovery issue paper-analysis of the problem-to solve the problem of thinking, is divided into five parts. The first part is the introduction, which expounds the background, significance and the current situation of related research at home and abroad. Part2is an overview of related theories. By summarizing and elaborating the academic theories and research paper involved in the paper, the author has provided theoretical basis for this thesis. In Part3, customs officers’ work pressure is analyzed and discussed, hence the prolems are sorted. Part4is the study on the relationship between customs officers’ work pressure, self-efficacy and work performance. The correlation analysis is based on data obtaind through a questionnaire survey. The5th Part is suggestions and advice on management of customs officers’ work pressure. Based on the earlier analysis, the thesis comfirmed the influence of work pressure on performance, and gave suggestions focusing on how to ease work pressure and improve performance, expecting to provide a certain theoretical reference for customs’s team construction and human resources management practices.
