With the improvement of living standards, people are more longevous than ever before. There are more and more elders in the society, heart and cerebrovascular diseases have become a serious menace to human life, cardiopathy has become the highest mortality disease on the world. There are no obvious sign at the early onset of heart disease, cardiopathy patients will feel unwell during this time, however, this feeling is often overlooked that may lead to tragedy. If there is an ECG(Electrocardiogram) monitoring system which can test patient’s ECG signal conveniently, and quickly transmit the ECG signal data to Health Care Center of hospital, doctors of the Health Care Center will provide medical guidance to patient timely and cardiopathy patients will be safer.The rapid development of information technology and communication, especially the improvement of mobile communication makes it possible to realize the remote ECG monitoring. In this thesis, I introduce the scheme of remote ECG monitoring system base on GPRS. It can monitor the patient’s ECG and send ECG data to the health care center. The whole ECG monitoring system has been applied in clinical trials at Inner Mongolia, Fujian Province, and has been generally approved by most of patients. It has been implemented by this system that patient’s ECG signal can be tested conveniently and quickly transmitted the ECG signal data to Health Care Center of hospital through Home Iatrical Data Gateway.This monitoring system consists of ECG Monitor, Home Iatrical Data Gateway and Health Care Center. ECG Monitor make ECG signal be collected, amplified, and it can realize the A/D conversion of ECG signal, the storage of ECG data, guardianship of heart rate changes functions through controlling the MSP430. Home Iatrical Data Gateway is composed of main module, input module and output module. In order to meet the needs of working simultaneously with several modules and updataing in this system, a kind of simple bus which base on serial ports is designed. EmbeddedμC/OS-II OS is transplanted into this system and a kind of data communication protocol between various modules is set down that makes this system have mulriple misson mode and achieve SD card storage of ECG data, working simultaneously with many input and output modules, as well as GPRS network-based remote ECG data transmission.
