With the extensive application and high-speed development of the electronic and the computer technologies, the new monitoring and control technologies is advancing day by day. As the cost-effective and advanced remote network communication control method, CAN-bus have the high reliability, perfect function, and it has been widely used in various automation monitoring and control system. At the same time, the monitoring and control technology based on the network is also entering a new period of development, to connect the transmission of information through the network, this has changed the traditional concept and model of the monitoring and control system. The main trend of network monitoring and control technology application is the Internet technology, technical staff can do the remote monitoring and control through the Internet at the scene. In conclusion, as one of the future direction of the development of the modern measurement, the remote monitoring system based on CAN bus and Internet will be an increasing number of applications in industrial and agricultural production process management, intelligent building design and other aspects, it has very important research significance and application value.In this paper, we have built a set of advanced winter solar energy heating fresh air remote monitoring system based on the virtual instrument Labwindows/CVI development platform, CAN bus and the Internet. This system can realize an effective solar thermal heating fresh air, as well as the monitoring and control features.In this paper, first, we reaserched the basic concepts and developments of the remote monitoring, and then did the research and analysis of the system principle and the function requirements. Finally, we have carried out the overall design of the hardware platforms and the software platforms based on the iCAN system.In this paper, based on the research of the relative crucial technologies, the remote monitoring over the Internet, developed on the software plantform of Labwindows/CVI, was realized by adopting the TCP/IP technology and the server/client structure.The result indicated that the solar-heating fresh air remote monitoring system has the following advantages: easy system operating, convenienent monitoring interface for users, flexible network structure based on iCAN protocol, high reliability, convenienent to test and develop, and affluent in PC driver supporting. Meanwhile with the features of TCP/IP protocol on plantfrom independence, reliable communication and high performance on error management, the system has made full use of network resource and achived integrative design for resource sharing, task assigning and data interacting.
