Ucd-Based Web Albums Interface Design Usability Study

With the rapid development of Internet technology, the world has entered the era of web2.0,and network interface design is also facing with new and higher user requirements. It has become the development trend and the inevitable topic of the network interface design that user-centered, meet the perfect user experience, available for users and ease of use.This article is a study of initial experience of the Web Albums Novice users. Through this research we in order to figure out the following objectives: find out China’s Internet users’demand for the use of the web album; finish the usability testing of 3 typical Web album, then find out the existing usability issues, analysis the causes of usability issues, and give some suggestions for improvement; figure out the key elements which affects the initial experience of Web album users; establish the user experience conceptual framework of Web album.First we discusses the necessity of the study of initial experience of the Web Albums Novice users. Then we introduce the basic theory of the interaction design and usability, and the UCD development process, as well as the user research method. And then we carry out an investigation into the status quo of the Web album usage by taking questionnaire survey, an in-depth interviews and observation. After the investigation we get the definition of the major users and the requirement analysis. In this study, we choose 3 web album websites to carry on the usability test, analyse and evaluate the initial experience: we use task anylysis to anylyse the website function and concept, the operation process of users, and the interaction behavior of user on the website; and we use user testing to find out the problems which affects the initial experience of Web album users.Through the analysis and evaluation, we found the main reason of Customer Churn and the key elements impact on the user initial experience. At last, according to a series of earlier studies, we establish the user experience conceptual framework of Web album.
