The nature of the emotional TV program is the to port the part of interpersonalcommunication which have variable moods and a strong conflict to the TV screen,sothat,in identity of “bystander”,the audience can get a strong emotional impact as theywatching the emotional TV program.Why the emotional TV program have such a largeaudience, and, why there is a huge number of audience interested to throw themselvseinto the emotional conflict in the emotional TV program?This closely related in theChinese public’s widespread anxiety and the desire to talk in the social transition period,also benefited from China’s TV industry’s growing marketing planning ability.AsChina’s increasingly hit emotional TV program getting mature, there are still someimperfect among these emotional TV programs, social criticism and discussion of theseimperfections have never stopped.In such an environment, the study of such programs’audience targeting and the reasons of hit, the study of the impact of the structure andnarrative techniques as well as the psychological mechanisms to the emotional TVprogram become very necessary, and, these above are the matters this article to bediscussed.
