| As wireless Internet is developing fast, more and more business applications rely on wireless Internet. But compared with wired network, wireless network has more disadvantages. For example, the transmission rate is slow, wireless access process is susceptible to interference and signal intensity is not stable. Therefore it is of great significance to conduct study on the quality of end-to-end business for wireless Internet. Through wireless Internet quality analysis, ISP can know the running condition of the wireless network; what’s more, the analysis result can help to discover and eliminate anomalies and bottlenecks in wireless network. For consumers of wireless network, they can make better choice on which is more suitable for their own consumption by comparing the wireless network quality of service provided by different ISPs. For the management sector, they can release the quality of service monitoring report of different ISPs’network. The report is conducive to fair competition between ISPs, thus improving the quality of service.In this thesis, through deploying the quality monitoring system of wireless Internet in the core network of some ISP, we can analyze network performance in multiple dimensions. Indicators of performance monitoring include the quality of access to the wireless network, the quality of network infrastructure and the quality of service. The region to monitor covers areas inside and outside the province, and areas between different ISPs. The networks to monitor cover current mainstream wireless networks, including WLAN, GPRS and CDMA. The monitoring system simulates Internet user’s behavior of accessing network and gets user’s online data. Firstly, this thesis describes three common wireless networks-WLAN, GRPS and CDMA and then introduces their features, architectures and network procedures of access. Secondly, functional structure and system architecture of the quality monitoring system are described in detail and the working process of various system components is introduced, especially the implementation of the network management system. This thesis analyzes the monitor data of quality of wireless networks and evaluates the end-to-end quality of service on wireless Internet. Finally, the thesis makes some summary and gives an outlook for research work on quality of wireless Internet. |
