A Service Management Ssystem In Universal Network

With the development of science and technology and the promotion of productivity, the impetus of social advancement has been changed from the conventional model to the information network technology, whose developmental level has gradually become the competition focus all over the world. However, the available information networks such as the telephone network, the broadcast television network or some else are just network models that only support one type of service. Due to this limitation, the unique way to provide various kinds of services is reconstruction of various networks, which results in a huge waste of resources and further affects the replacement. Moreover, the existing Internet network architectures and primitive design ideas are faced with many challenges including terminal mobility, security, controllability, management and so on. Therefore, with the continuous increasement of the demand of application and service, existing information network has apparently failed to meet people’s needs and gradually becomes a serious obstacle to improve the information network. To solve these serious problems above mentioned and optimize the structure of the existing information network, our group proposes an original network architecture model, named by Universal network, which is a two-tier network architecture consisting of network layer and service layer.The service layer mainly comprises two identifiers:service identifier and connection identifier. The former one identifies all the service and resources in the network for uniform management while the latter one identifies a specific connection. Such unified service description and management mechanism can completely solve the controllability and management problems in existing information network. Considering the service architecture of integrated network and pervasive service system model, this paper designs and implements a service management system, which is a concrete realization of integrated network service layer, namely, the system is able to achieve the storage, management, registration and inquiries and other series of operations of integrated network service information. In addition, to gain better scalability, the overall structure of service management system adopts the typical C/S (client/server) model. On the server side, it implements distributed information storage, while on the client side, it is classified into different categories according to its types such as service registry business, service query business, service identity resolution business and other business.Deployed in the universal network prototype system and related features, our design and implementation of service management system proves to effectively satisfy the requirement of distributed storage, registration, query and service establish of service information unit as well as solve the controllability and management problem in existing information network through relate function and performance test and analysis. Furthermore, the successful implementation of service management system is benefit for the further study of the prototype system.
