This work is based on Fundamental Research on the Architecture of Universal Trustworthy Network and Pervasive Services. Universal Network is a new kind of network architecture, which is researched by the program and owns the ability of corresponding to many services. It divides the network into two layers—"network layer" and "service layer".In this work, we mainly address the problem how to design and implement the network bandwidth management in the Universal Network. Firstly, we briefly introduce the technologies and studies of IP QoS(Quality of Service) and the main QoS framework of network layer in Universal Network. Secondly, we design a network bandwidth management system in the Universal Network and use multiple constraints QoS routing algorithm which can search some link-disjoint paths. Thirdly, we implement the network bandwidth management scheme in Linux. The traits of the implementation are shown as follows: 1) it introduces a QoS routing algorithm for admission control module. 2) It adopts the network socket to implement the communication among terms, routers and UQoSM (Universal QoS Manager). 3) The message packets have a uniform format. 4) It can backup database. 5) It uses multi-thread model. Fourthly, we analyze and test the program in our prototype. The experimental results show that this system can give QoS guaranty by using QoS path. If the QoS path is error, the system can use a backup QoS path to replace it. After having tested the algorithm of QoS routing, we found that it can work out two or more disjoint paths. Finally, we summarize this work and list some future work. This work provides a platform for testing and analyzing the QoS performance of Universal Network. And it builds a good foundation for other QoS researches in the Universal Network.
