With the development of the wireless network and application of multimedia technologies,wireless broadband video communication system for its flexibility and mobility, is widely used in all aspects of life, such as emergency communications, fire and rescue and other fields. OFDM as the core technology of4G communication has also been widely used in the field of broadband communications.The low symbol rate makes the use of a guard interval between symbols affordable, making it possible to eliminate intersymbol interference (ISI),and it has high spectral efficiency as compared to conventional modulation.All these advantages promote the wider application of OFDM.The paper makes analysis and research on broadband wireless video transmission system based on OFDM technology,and finally we make the system design plan.The system has three major parts such as the video capture and compression module, OFDM baseband processor module and RF receiver-transceiver module. We use the SPiDCOM SPC300application solution as our baseband design solution, and the work focus on the hardware circuit board design of the wireless RF receiver and transceiver. With continuous and large number of experiments testing and program modifications,finally we accomplished intergration of OFDM wireless video communication.Finally we make system performance testing and the system point to point network throughput testing in the laboratory environment,and the results achieved the design of indicators.The structure of this paper is divided into four parts, the first part introduces application background and research significance of wireless video transmission system. The second part discusses the key technologies of wireless video transmission system, such as OFDM technology and radio frequency (RF) transceiver design theory. The third part introduces the structure and framework of the system, and finally gives the baseband framework and hardware circuit implementations of RF receiver and transceiver. The last part describes the key indicators of baseband、RF test and transmission system’s network testing,video testing and describes some difficulties in our design and point the direction of the future research.
