With the rapid growth of mobile data traffic,the research and development of 5G technology has been launched rapidly in the world.At present,China has approved the3400~3600 MHz frequency band as the first batch of 5G technology test bands.Since the3400~4200 MHz band has already been divided into FSS,the compatibility problem of two systems can not be ignored.Therefore,this thesis studies the compatible coexistence of 5G system and FSS system in this frequency band,and puts forward reasonable suggestions for the compatibility and coexistence of the two system in this frequency band.The main work is as follows:(1)The interference between 5G system and FSS system is analyzed,mainly including the interference scenarios of the two systems and the interference types between the two systems.According to the commonly used interference solutions among the systems and the popular interference coexistence research methods in the world,the research method suitable for compatibility and coexistence of 5G system and FSS system is determined.Subsequently,based on the recommendations of the International Telecommunication Union,a compatible coexistence research model of 5G system and FSS system is built,which laid the foundation for further research.(2)Two methods of deterministic analysis and Monte Carlo simulation are applied to study the compatible coexistence of 5G system and FSS system.In the process of research,two scenarios are taken into consideration of the deployment of 5G and FSS systems in urban and suburban areas.Through two methods,the relationship between the interference power density and the isolation distance between the two systems is obtained respectively,and the minimum separation distance required by the two systems is obtained,which is the basis of judging whether the two system can coexist in the same region.By comparing the results obtained by the two methods,it is concluded that the coexistence of the 5G system and the FSS system is difficult to coexist in the same channel,and the adjacent channel could be coexisted,and some suggestions on the coexistence of the 5G system and the FSS system in the 3400~3600 MHz band are put forward in combination with the actual situation.(3)The coexisting external field test of 5G system and FSS system is carried out inthe 5G test field in Huairou,Beijing,which verified the interference of 5G base station to FSS ground receiving station.During the test,the influence of installing the appropriate filter in front of the tuner and the distance between the 5G terminal and the FSS ground receiving station on the interference is considered.Through the analysis of the test data,it is concluded that the use of large scale antenna array in 5G base station can effectively reduce the interference of the 5G base station to the FSS ground receiving station and the conclusion that the saturation interference could be effectively eliminated by adding the corresponding filter in front of the tuner.
