In recent years, the booming development of social media based on the Internet is seen byus all, which has shown an amazing power by persuading people to pay special attention to theinformation it disseminates while people are browsing the internet. It is social media that has notonly produced heated topics one after anther discussed by people but also attracted the activefollowing up of traditional media. With the vigorous development of the video websites at thesame time, the television media is facing more and more challenges. The future of television isbecoming a more and more concerned focus by people. Social media development has broughtnew vitality to TV media as the interactive development of TV media and social media today hasentered the heyday.In view of the problems existing in the field of television media and social mediainteractions such as the problems of limited range, systematic weakness and poor timeliness, thisthesis tries to study the reasons for interactions as well as their significance by taking the caseanalysis as the main research method, aided by the questionnaire research method. And it isfollowed by discussion of the definitions of social media and micro blogs and the analysis oftelevision media and social media characteristics in order to explore the existing drawbacks ofthe two. On the basis of knowing clearly about the reasons for interaction while taking microblogs as the main research object, many cases are used to help introduce the way of interactionbetween TV programs and micro blogs. In each specific case analysis, existing problemsemerging in the process of television media and social media interaction are detected anddetailed solutions for these problems are offered. It is quite necessary for the two to interact witheach other as it not only fits the characteristics of the two but also benefits the development ofthe two. Meanwhile, there are still some problems emerging in the process that are needed to besolved, which needs the joint efforts of people from both television media and social media.The interaction between the two is a long process of development and because of the rapidchange of social media, people of television media are asked to make some changes to adapt tothe changing situation. This thesis is of novel argument, accurate cases and high practical values. Large volumes of data are collected in the process of original case analysis, which enables theoriginality of the thesis and offers data support for figuring out the problems in the process ofinteraction. Besides, the questionnaire research method serving as data support for analyzinginteractive significance is also applied to improve the originality of the thesis. This thesis takestelevision media and social media interactive effect criteria and some humble opinions on thecriteria as an end, which serves as a summary of the interactive study and also aims to offer anew perspective for the upcoming studies. By doing so, it is hoped that more and more peopleare encouraged to take part in this study to explore more novel ways and directions for thedevelopment of the interaction.In addition, the article also introduces several new channels on the interaction betweentelevision media and social media, such as social TV, micro letter, etc. Not only the newlyemerging social media products but also the functional changes of the existing mainstream socialmedia products should be taken into consideration in order to adopt new interactive strategies.The interactions between the two should not be limited to micro blogs only, and there will bemore new forms of social media involved in the interaction with TV media.
