With the development of Mobile Internet technique, traditional TV media meets an inevitable downturn. To bridge the gap between the traditional TV media and the Mobile media as well as to meet the audience requirement, the TV media explore a new pattern for the media convergence, which is to launch the interactive social TV application. During this kind of background, the research starts with the interactive social TV application phenomenon. Based on the SWOT analysis for the successful application, this thesis attempts to. present a development strategy for the traditional TV media and their interactive social TV application.This thesis puts the theoretical and the empirical research together, using the documentary analysis, survey research and analytical method to analyze. Based on the research results at home and abroad, the thesis research the development status of the mobile media, especially use SWOT analysis for Hunan TV social application. Combine the status analysis and investigative, the thesis comes up with the development strategy, including the content strategy, interactive mode, audience strategy and operation strategy.The spring up of the interactive social TV application fit the road of media convergence. However, because of the lateness of the development time and the imperfect of the development ideas, the TV media should set a new development direction from the new media itself, the audience and media operator themselves.
