Valve is a very important part in engine, measure sizes of the parts are an indispensable and important link to ensure its quality. Its machining accuracy not only directly influent on the engine and the life of mechanical systems, but also have significantly impact on reducing energy consumption, environmental pollution and so on. In order to solve valve detection problems such as low detection efficiency and accuracy, false detection, omission existing in traditional domestic valve industry, this paper developed a control system of valve online automatic image detection which set cleaning, drying, transport, handling, detection, sorting as one. This detection line consists of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), transmission line, manipulator, frequency converter, three-phase motors, a variety of pneumatic actuators and sensors. According to the valve testing functional requirements and processes, design the control programs and control procedures of entire automatic image detection line control system control programs and control procedures including programmable controllers.The main contents of this article are including some parts below:First, analy the process of the production, identified the overall design of the idea of the detection line. And then put forward the PLC control system overall design, structure and steps.PLC control system design includes hardware design and software design, hardware design mainly include control system circuit design, the selection of the electrical components, PLC Selection and the design of PLC input/output module. The control system selects the Omron CP1H Series of PLC as a controller, because it has excellent performance, to ensure the stability and scalability of the system. Software design is the core of the PLC control system design, the overall structure of the PLC program is modular in design, make the function of each module relatively independent and the structure clear. Each unit automatic control program uses Sequential Control Design, the program is simple to understand and improve the efficiency of the design of the program. On program design method, consider the readability and maintainability of the program, Conducive to further modify and upgrade.At last, the control system put into use after the assembly and debugging success. The actual use shows that this automatic image detection line control system realized these functions such as automatic transport, automatic cleaning and drying, the detected valve automatic handling as well as sorting, which effectively avoid problems of omission, false detection, low efficiency, and intensive labor caused by traditional manual measurement, ensured the product quality can reach100%pass rate.
