On the basis of the analysis and classification on the size of a certain model of cartridgecase parts produced by some military unit,has elaborated the measurement method for size tobe measured and detecting system control method,combined the automation measurementrequired by manufacturer,applying the combination of LVDT differential displacement sensorlength measurement system,laser diameter measurement system,gas-electric internal diametermeasurement system,pneumatic system and PLC electrical control system to achieveautomatic measurement for the total length,bottom thickness,inner diameter,outer diameterand other dimensions of cartridge case,and use RS-232serial interface communication toperform the communication and data transfer between PLC and computer,has achieved themeasurement and measured data summary in the process of cartridge casemeasurement.Through the analysis on the multiplicity accuracy, linearity accuracy,stabilityetc.measurement system indicators of No.1workstation overall length measurementsystem,No.2workstation bottom thickness measurement system,No.3workstation innerdiameter measurement system,No.5workstation outer diameter measurement system,it can bedrawn that the cartridge case automatic calibration machine control system has features ofhigh accuracy,high stability and high efficiency.The main work this paper completed as follows:Firstly,according to the structural requirements of the size of cartridge case parts,dividesize to be measured into six stations;then in order to meet the requirements of automaticmeasurement,design automatic feeding station and automatic unloading station;finallyconduct overall design for cartridge case automatic calibration machine measurement system.According to the features of size to be measured at each workstation,select appropriatemeasurement instrument and complete the design of control program for measurement systemat each workstation per measurement system hardware requirement. For characteristics of measurement data format of each measuring instrument,designmeasurement data processing and analysis methods so as to meet the requirements ofmeasurement system.Conduct design and development for pneumatic power drive system of cartridge caseautomatic calibration measurement system,so as to meet the application requirements of thesystem.Through the study on the multiplicity accuracy,linearity accuracy,stability accuracy andother accuracy of measurement system,determine the automatic calibration machinemeasurement system meet the users’ requirements on accuracy,efficiency and stability,etc.In order to meet the communication requirement of upper and lower computers,thedesign is based on RS-232serial port communication mode.Complete the on-sitecommissioning and manufacturer acceptance.
