In order to ensure the quality and safety of the chemical production process, Thorpe Group needs to real-time monitors the critical rotating equipments. We developed a low-cost, portable real-time status monitoring system for the rotating equipments, which can take a long online condition monitoring tasks. The purpose of this R&D project is to solve the problem of a large number of chemical companies pump group monitoring, to protect the safe production of petrochemical plants, to reduce the cost of equipment management.As a wide range of pump groups in the Group’s internal, high detection precision requirements, the ability of monitoring in real-time, through error analysis and prototype testing methods combined, the monitoring system use a variety of measures to improve system stability to ensure that the system accuracy and stability. In order to improve the anti-jamming capability of the system, on hardware, there are a signal conditioning module with constant current source output and a variety of power supply mode. Through a reasonable structure design optimization, the BNC connector version, high-speed multi-channel data acquisition module, signal conditioning module integrated within the framework of military notebook; software system is based on labVIEW modular programming, successfully resolved the large amount of data collected in rotating equipment, real-time processing, display and preservation by the use of multi-threaded multi-tasking mechanism, reasonable designed human-computer interaction interface and parameters configuration module system, which make the system stability, versatility, portability; Through improving the system and developing wireless acceleration sensor nodes, we realized the wireless monitoring programs of condition of rotating machinery.The system has completed the prototype trial, and many industrial field test results show that the data acquisition system is reliable and accurate, stable operating conditions, operation and convenient to carry, can be used for real-time monitoring of Thorpe Group of rotating equipment, and wireless sensor nodes has also been completed as prototype test, provide a technical basis for wireless sensing measurement and control platform at the Group’s internal.
