2012is the40th anniversary of the normalization of China-Japan diplomatic relations. College students’communication between China and Japan as part of public diplomacy, have strong support from both sides. Contemporary Chinese college students’rational patriotic attitude can promote the relationship between China and Japan, and is advantageous to the development of sino-japanese friendship from generation to generation. However, in September2012Japan illegally purchased Diaoyu islands and its aftermath incident which caused the anger of the Chinese people including Chinese college students. Then Xi’an, Harbin, Chengdu, Changsha, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou and other cities broke out anti-japan demonstrations. The body of the parade is college students. National hatred and network information test the college students’intellectual and mental.In so many network transmission platforms, weibo is currently the newest and hottest Internet information communication platform. Its editing text is limited to140characters, which is short and easy to spread. Users can use computer,mobile phones and other network terminal to access to weibo anytime and anywhere,release the latest dynamic in the form of short messages and ideas to spread. In the crowd of microblog users, a large proportion is the college students. Weibo becomes a important way for college students to acquire knowledge, information, and interpersonal communication, having the exerts influence on their thoughts, attitudes and behavior so have a profound and substantial final influence on the contemporary Chinese college students.This paper takes Diaoyu islands events as a starting point, Chinese college students community as the object of the audience to study weibo’s communication effect on the Diaoyu islands events, including the effect of cognition, attitude and behavior.This paper can divide into five parts. The first part is the introduction, including background the incident, the reason why this study put forward, the research significance, research reviews and essays innovation breakthrough; The second part combs the concept of microblogging, transmission characteristics and transmission mechanism; The third part uses the questionnaire survey, individual interviews and participant observation research methods, college students in Zhejiang province as an example, the spread of weibo in college students groups effect on description and analysis, concrete analysis of weibo full in the diaoyu islands event for the positive influence and negative influence of college students; The fourth part discusses problems affect communication effect, to give full play to the advantage of microblog, improve communication efficiency, expand communication effect made beneficial exploration; The last part is the conclusion and the suggestion.
