| Objective: A statistical survey for microblog use in Univestity students has beenconducted, so that to understand the situation, analyze the impact on the values’formation and deformation. The conclusion can be a reference to guidance of the youthunder the circumstance of New Media Wave.Method: With the random survey, every200questionnaires for each of Grade2010, Grade2011,Grade2012in Dalian Medical University were issued respectively.537pieces were returned, and520of them were counted as validated. ValueQuestionnairs were filled by everyone, furthermore the Microblog Use Questionanaireswere filled by the microblog users, and among them,42microblog users were chosen asthe subsequent follow-up targets. The work scope of follow-up includes using duration,number of microblog posting, classification for all the microblogs posted between1stNov,2012to31st Jan,2013, evaluating the emotion orientation as per the microblogcontents indicated.Results:(1)350students use microblog,67.3%of the total validsample;.(2)according the feed back about use duration,76.6%is less that one hours,16.6%is two to three hours, and6.8%is over three hours. Regarding the time allocation,64.1%students used microblog in bored time,27.1%after study time,14.1%in anytime as a habit,7.4%in a depressed situation.(3) Regarding the purpose of microbloguse,58.9%of the sample is to obtain information,34.6%for interaction with friends,15.1%for drawing attention.(4) Regarding the content of microblog, the most popularchoice is to post personal life status with the highest ratio of70.3%,43.7%to expressemotion situation, and26.6%to forward other information,14.6%to make commentsabout the hot social issues,13.7%to communicate.(5)Regarding the value aspect, the9factors hereafter have an apparent positive correlation with time of microblogregistering, those are independent enterprise (r=0.372), life enjoyment (r=0.365),Honest and Trustworthy (r=0.337), authority recognition(r=0.404), supernatural faith (r=0.393), undogmatic follow(r=0.393), authority orientation (r=0.505), intellectualcuriosity (r=0.317), and individual life value orientation (r=0.391).(6) The number ofmicroblog posted daily is positive correlated with the three fators hereafter, which areadventure (r=0.370), intellectual curiosity(r=0.401), egocentricity (r=0.308).(7)Themicroblog owner focuses on positive things or negative thing, who value in diversedifference of the factors, which are perservation of tradition(t=2.632,p=0.009),authority recognition(t=-2.353, p=0.019), supernatural faith (t=-2.171, p=0.031),egocentricity (t=-3.179,p=0.002), authority orientation (t=-2.696,p=0.007), social lifevalue orientation (t=3.059,p=0.002). The positive information follower and negativeinformation follower are not big difference in value classification.Conclustion:(1)The microblog owners have a large proportion among universitystudents.(2) The motives are majorly to obtain information, interact with friends andpass time.(3)Microblog is an important media to self-regard and self-express, and itsmajor contents are individual situation and emotional expression.(4)The impact ofMicroblog on university students is manifested as that, the longer time using microblog,the students are more independent, more of life enjoyment, more of intelligent curiosity,not willing to compliant with dogmas, more of honesty virtues, more of authorityrecognition and admiration, more of supernatural faith.(5)The microblog’s active levelis correlated with its owner’s value.
