Today network technology has been quite mature, and plenty kinds of network applications which are widely used by the majority of enterprises and individuals has sprung up. Because of advanced concepts and obvious advantages, cloud computing is considered as the developmental direction of the network services. Network services based on cloud technology such as cloud storage are being more and more popular. To meet requirements like mobile office and data backing up, cloud storage which attracts a large number of users provides many services such as files’ quickly uploading, history version roll backing, sharing and so on. Due to developmental lag of the current network transmission medium, internet bandwidth has been the biggest factor limiting the efficiency of cloud storage. The current implementations are not the real sense of cloud, because these cloud storage server occupies bits of space of the client machine to store parts of data in the local in order to avoid those network transmission delay which can result in bad users’experiences. In order to meet the qualification of real sense of cloud storage, the paper designs and implements a network system to provide virtual disks based on cloud storage for large corporate users and ensure users can get the general cloud storage services not taking up users’local resource. The system uses disk filter driver technology in client to achieve the block-level data transferring. In application interface layer, servers are deployed in LAN so that it can provide concurrent accesses for multiple application servers. In storage layer, IP SAN is implemented using an industrial standard protocol iSCSI whose safety and efficiency can be guaranteed by professional standards organizations. This paper describes the basic information and implementation’s process of the above system, and does a summary of the system’s pros and cons.
