Analysis About The Ideological Construction Of National Day Editorial In People’s Daily(1949-2011)

In today’s world, the wave of globalization makes all countries and regions be involved in the conflict and fusion process which including political, economic, and cultural aspects inevitably. They are trying to maintain their legal status and expand their influenc by a variety of means. Ideological construction is an important way. There are a lot of researches about ideology, but they never reach a consensus. People’s Daily plays an important role in ideological construction of China. This article will analyze the national day editorials in People’s Daily (1949-2011) to discuss how the ideological construction be carried out and the characteristics in this process.This article uses literature search and text analysis methodology to do analysis. Firstly, this article has a view at the development of the national day editorials’ideological construction. At different times, it has different contents. Secondly, this article sums the developments up as two cases:inheritance and diversification. Thirdly, this article analyzes the construction of knowledge, social norms and social values, social consensus and legality. On this basis, this article presents some thoughts about the ideological construction.Through this research, the article concludes that the national day editorial in People’s Daily is a form of Chinese socialist ideology with distinctive age stigmas. Due to the development of the times, the diversification of routes of transmission and improvement of people’comprehensive qualities, the ideological construction in People’s Daily gets rid of ideological indoctrination, being more diversified. Although the development of ideological pluralism has greatly enriched the content of the theoretical system, there is a flaw in inheriting the core idea and additions of ideology. It is a fact that socialist ideology and capitalist ideology blend each other, so Chinese ideological construction needs to find its own position. In order to maintain the stability and continuity of the development of ideology, we shoud divert our attention form expanding the ideological content to seeking the links of each part and the foundation of ideological construction.
