As the two basic ways of transport of goods, railway and waterway have advantages for large capacity and low transportation cost. At the moment, the railway department and water transport department have conducted a series of cooperation, through the Rail-water intermodal transport to achieve the purpose of further increase the capacity, reduce the transportation cost, improve transport efficiency and expand the scope of business. But the railway and the water transport as the two separate departments, realizing the information interaction has certain difficulty. Building the Rail-water intermodal transport information exchange platform can successfully solve the problems of information communication and information interaction not on time in the rail and water transportation departments. And that also provides ideas and methods for the further development of Rail-water intermodal transport. The paper studied the system of Rail-water intermodal transport. Starting from the specific business and data requirements, this article based on the method of Enterprise Service Bus technology and used the idea of the Service Oriented Architecture to build the Rail-water intermodal transport information exchange platform.Firstly, the paper has an in-depth study on the Rail-water intermodal transport system, clearly set the goals for the information exchange platform and defines the platform user. The paper starts from the detailed demand analysis, then researches the two major import and export business processes in the Rail-water intermodal transport system, confirms the information and data which involved in the process, then integrates intermodal transport system settled on this basis, and puts forward the characteristics of the Rail-water intermodal transport information exchange. And on this basis, according to the characteristics of the Rail-water intermodal transport information exchange platform, the paper has combined with the ESB technology, analysis of the overall framework of the Rail-water intermodal transport information exchange platform. The paper has combined the characteristics of multi-level in intermodal transport system integration and researched the development, sharing and collaborative technology of the information exchange platform from different layers. The article has put forward the basic fine-grained services of the Rail-water intermodal transport and the main coarse-grained services based on the business process. At last, On the basis of the overall design, the paper has built prototype system by using Mule ESB according to the design framework. Through the coarse-grained service of order, this article has researched the establishing method of common integrated interfaces in the ESB. The paper has achieved the goal of the building method of verification platform and the key question and the configuration steps, it paves the way for the further develop of the Rail-water intermodal transport platform.
