Trade and economic globalization flourished the transportation and increased people’s transportation needs, this trend leaded to energy consumption increasing, and environmental pollution is worsening,so the development of "low carbon transport" is extremely necessary. The logistics industry as the big energy emissions in transportation. So it should bear responsibility to reduce greenhouse emission and shift to low-carbon transport. Intermodal as green transport modes, It can greatly reduce transportation costs, short transport time, improve the quality of transportation and reduce traffic jam, it still has environmental benefits, it can improve energy utilization, at the same time, reduce carbon emissions and noise. Therefore, when we choice the mode of transport of goods, we should strengthen the use of multimodal, it can greatly reduce carbon dioxide emissions, and thus relieve the greenhouse effect.This paper builded the path selection of multimodal transport in Low-carbon environment through adding the carbon to the Path of multimodal transport, and use genetic algorithms and step method to solve the modal.In this paper, we have done a lot of works as follows:a) This paper referred to large quantities of domestic and international literature associated with multimodal transport and lot about low-carbon transportation, and found the weaknesses and then presented points of this papers through summing up these literature.b) This paper defined calculation of carbon emissions, to prepare for the model solution.c) This paper builded a path selection models of multimodal transport on low-carbon goals and cost-selection goals as well as the two goals, and then the model is applied to examples, by comparing and analysing the results, concluded the practical significance findings and low-carbon strategies.Through the research on the above three aspects, we can find that although the cost and carbon emissions is a contradiction, but in multimodal transport, through rational optimization,enterprises can meet the economic interests, at the same time, also realize low-carbon transport.Innovation of this paper is divided into the following points:a) This paper innovatively integrated the goal of minimize carbon emissions into the multimodal transport path model from the perspective of environmental protection, to distinguish the past path research with the goal of time and cost.b) This paper combined genetic algorithm and stepwise method when calculating model. So the decision-makers can take into account the economic interests, at same time consciously reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
