With the development of wireless communication, the high requirement for transmission rate and bandwidth is crucial, for catering to more and more communication application and service in the field. The new communication technology in60GHz frequency earns more attention because of some distinct advantages, such as, abundant spectrum resources, high speed, security and freedom.60GHz wireless communication is characterized by the high pass loss so that a novel techonology--beamforming has been adopted to gain a adequate transfer rate. Therefore how to make sure of the best beam is becoming a critic problem. This dissertation studies the methods and strategies of beam-searching. The major devotement of this paper is as follows.Firstly, after analyzing thestandards and current research results in the60GHz wireless communication system, the dissertation discusses the beam training mechanism and principle in the international standards, IEEE802.15.3c and IEEE802.1lad. The applied objects of the existing standard beam training mechanisms are a pair of communication devices, without considering the other devices in the same scene, so the existing training mechanisms are blind. This thesis takes the advantage of the high pass loss and highly-directional, develops a novel strategy for beam-search, taking the relative between the different devices into consideration. For the practicability of this new method, this dissertation uses it in many applications. Based on the international standard IEEE802.15.3c and the channel model, the thesis appraises the performance of the new means on complexity and precise by theory analysis and simulation, taking the channel model, application, array antennas, codebook and the number of devices into account. Compared to other beam-search strategies, the method in this paper is marked by the low complexity and preciseness, so it is useful in the real engineering.
