LTE (Long Term Evolution) proposed by3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project), has been considered as the most popular technology of the next generation wireless telecommunication. As the time division duplex mode of LTE, TD-LTE is the evolution of TD-SCDMA, and was supported by many communication operators.In order to improve the performance and quality of the TD-LTE RF indicators, it is important to reseach the methods of TD-LTE BS RF testing and develop a set of automated system for TD-LTE BS RF conformance testing.In this thesis introduced the key technologies of the LTE physical layer, and researched the methods of TD-LTE base station radio frequency transceiver characteristics according3GPP specifications. Based on the analysis, TD-LTE BS RF conformance automated testing system was designed and implemented. The system was composed by hardware and software. On the hanrdware part, a RF-switch-box was designed to connect all the testing instruments, such as spectrum analyzer, signal generator and so on. On the softeware part, instrunments controlling module, database module, testing script module and user interface module were designed to achieve the automated testing system. At last, the system was verified by the assessment of the system’s uncertainty.
