With the continuous development of the computer science and the gradual improvement of the communications technology, the wireless network communication develops increasingly rapidly and used more and more widely. Nowadays, the wireless networks are divided into the no communication infrastructure networks and the existing infrastructure networks. The idea of infrastructure networks is sometimes also called mobile Ad hoc networks, and the wireless networks are characterized by multi-hop, no central nodes, self-organizing. The mobile Ad hoc networks are excellent communication network systems without need of the infrastructure facilities orunified managements. What is more, after years of research, the great progress has been made in the technology of mobile Ad hoc networks. In the networks, the links will probably become unidirectional links, due to the differences between the transmit power and receive power, the diversity of node wireless coverage or the effect of the wireless surroundings. A new strategy named PDBPA (Routing Discovery Based on Power Adjustment) is proposed, which is based on power adjustment. The strategy can take advantage of the unidirectional links when lower communication links are required; on the contrary, itcan avoid use of unidirectional links in the higher requirements. The routing protocols in mobile Ad hoc networks can be divided into "on-demand" protocols and"proactive"protocols. Among "on-demand"protocols,DSR protocol is one of them and the protocol is composed of two mechanisms that work together to allow the discovery and maintenance of source routes. In this paper, we design a new maintenance strategy of DSR named MRMS(Multi-hop Routing Maintenance Strategy of DSR), which can take timely and effective measures to save broken link when nodes detect link disconnected. The simulation results show that the strategy can avoid reboot route discovery and decrease the average data packet transmission delay.
