Research And Implementatjon Of Onlion Conferencing System For Multimedia Endpoints

We are in the information age with a high-speed development now, The pace of life of people will also continue to accelerate. The traditional means of communication can no longer satisfy the growing needs of people, especially in conferences. People have to get together for a conference that only continuing for few hours. People’s time can’t be fully used. Due to various restrictions, although we can hold off-site meeting, it can not reach the expected result by using a conference system with no image. Staff mobility, on the other hand, makes it harder for the staff joins in a meeting. We need a "flow-type" conference system so that we can join a meeting anywhere with network. So we know that, the endpoint of conference gradually change to mobile platform.In this paper, I start with the needs of users and network status, try to find a conference system solution suitable for modern ways of working by the analysis of existing network equipment, and create a conference system with several kinds of endpoints such as PC and smart phone. Firstly choose the SIP as the control protocol, and then find RTP that can transport multimedia data on multiple equipments, finally using proper audio and video codec for the conference system, and now we know the theoretical basis. By designing and implementing the modules to complete the entire system on the PC and Android platforms, all people can enjoy the convenience brought by the new conference system.Here comes a new direction for the multimedia conference with the popularity of mobile terminals, I believe multi-function mobile conference endpoint will be endless in the future. In this paper, I designed and implemented the system with two kinds of endpoints. The system had been tested and could basically satisfy the needs of users, achieved the desired effect.
