Design And Realization Of The Lightweight SaaS Type Video Conference System Based On Web RTC

With the rapid development of the information technology, people prefer the information exchanges with voice and video chat. After experiencing the convenient and direct voice and video chat, people in our society will have the strong interest and rely on it. It can be used in remote medical treatment, online education, telecommuting, etc., it is the rising star in technology area in the future. At the present stage, many clients hope that the software have the ability to add video conference in their own application, however, none of the video conference system based on hardware and complete software stack can meet their requirements.Web RTC (Web Real-Time Communication) is a kind of technology which can support the real time voice or video communication based on web browser.There is no need to download or install any plug-ins, with the simple API(Application Programming Interface) the function to add video communication can be used in web page, software or terminal application.The video conference system introduced in this paper is the lightweight SaaS (Software as a Service)type video conference service which is based on Web RTC. SaaS can offer software through Internet, users no longer have to install software and all the software will be put in the cloud as a service by the software vendors. The clients can order the service which can meet their own demands.This paper first compares and analyzes the current video conference solution, summarizes the advantages of the ability to realize the video conference based on Web RTC, then designs the overall architecture of the video conference business platform and the user development procedure which is driven by video conference business, based on Web RTC and user demand of the current video conference. Finally, we realize the experience demo of RTC based on the design and encapsulation of the client-side SDK of the video conference.The conference system designed in this paper has the advantage that users don't have to purchase hardware to support it and don't have to update the client-side software either. Users can get the video and voice conference function at any time anywhere, also, this system has expandability.The signaling layer communication protocol in this project is proposed to use SIP (session initiation protocol), as the network protocol of IMS kernel network of China Telecommunications, SIP have the mature standard and can support the voice and video conference well.
