Wireless sensor and actuator networks is composed of a large number of miniature sensors and actuators with data acquisition, processing and wireless communication capabilities, in collaboration with the large-scale complex monitoring and control tasks. The testing work of node equipments requires lots of human resources and hardware resources, while automatic test system can measurement, process data, and display or output test results in an appropriate manner without human participation. Compared to manual testing, automatic testing can save time, improve labor productivity and guarantee product quality, so that automatic test system is particularly suitable for wireless sensor and actuator networks.Currently, the development of node equipments in wireless sensor and actuator networks is very fast, but the progress of testing work is very slow. The work of testing a large number of node equipments is mainly done by manual testing, so that, there are lots of problems such as irregularities and inefficient in the testing work, and security risks in using of sensors and actuators. Therefore, the paper introduced the concept of automatic testing technology to internet of things, and mainly researched the design and implementation of automatic test system based on node equipments of wireless sensor and actuator networks.Firstly, the paper introduced researching background and development trend, related technologies of automatic test system based on node equipments of wireless sensor and actuator networks. Secondly, it systematically introduced the structure, including frame design, hardware design, software design and test program design. Finally, it decrypted function tests and performance tests and put forward improvement program.
