Large-scale commercial deployment of LTE cellular mobile communication system has begun a gradual manner. Limited by increasingly scarce spectrum resources, in the future, LTE system and other wireless communication system may be deployed in same or adjacent frequency bands within the same geographical area. Due to the non-perfect transceiver characteristics of communication equipments, the coexistence systems interfere with each other, resulting in degradation of system performance. Thus, it is of great significance for both theoretical research and engineering practice to focus on how reasonable frequency division and network planning and thereby improve system performance. Meanwhile, with the development of wireless communication technology, demand for service will continue increasing, so it has become the focus of the work of various countries’radio administration to find and divided the new band for IMT system.In this paper, both theoretical analysis and system-level simulation approaches are comprehensive used for research on interference and coexistence of LTE system.Firstly, the issue of coexistence between LTE system and LTE/WCDMA system is analyzed. Through careful analysis of the macrocell coexistence scenarios, the required isolation to ensure the coexistence is obtained to provide technical support for the development of network planning and optimization, and the improvement of the utilization of spectrum resources. Then, the issue of coexistence between LTE system and WLAN system is analyzed. The impact of WLAN system on LTE system is assessed in the indoor environment, so the isolation requirement is obtained for LTE system to avoid the interference from WLAN system, as a technical reference in the process of system deployment.Finally, the issue of coexistence between LTE system and BSS system is analyzed. By setting up the research model and analytical method, the feasibility of coexistence networking is estimated in outdoor and indoor deployment manner, and it could provide technical support and advice in band allocation and network construction.
